Hermann Vorster is an Australian politician serving as a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly for the district of Burleigh since 2024. Born in South Africa and raised in New Zealand, he moved to the Gold Coast at age 15. Before his election to state parliament, he served as a Gold Coast City councillor from 2016 to 2024, where he focused on local infrastructure and urban development. Vorster previously worked as a press secretary to Gold Coast mayor Tom Tate and served as president of the Young LNP. He is known for his support of regional development projects, including the Gold Coast offshore cruise ship terminal proposal.
