Hideshi Suzuki is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly, representing the Tsurumi Ward of Yokohama. First elected in 2003, he is now in his sixth term and has previously served as the 109th Vice-Speaker of the Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly. A member of the Komeito party, he serves as the Deputy Representative of the Komeito Kanagawa Prefectural Headquarters. His legislative focus includes disaster prevention, regional development, and social welfare initiatives, such as the creation of inclusive public parks. Before entering politics, he worked for the Reuters Tokyo bureau and served as a public secretary to House of Councillors member Akira Matsu.
