鴨田秋津

Akitsu Kamoda is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Maizuru City in Kyoto Prefecture. Born in 1981, he graduated from Takushoku University before working as a police officer for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He later joined his family's construction business and became active in local community organizations. Kamoda served two terms as a member of the Maizuru City Council starting in 2018. He was elected mayor in February 2023. Although he was affiliated with the Japan Innovation Party for much of his political career, he announced his departure from the party in February 2025 to serve as an independent.
