佐藤樹一郎

Kiichiro Sato is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat currently serving as the Governor of Oita Prefecture. Born in Oita City, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and began his career at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in 1980. He held various government positions, including roles at the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), before entering the private sector at JSR Corporation. Sato served as the Mayor of Oita City from 2015 to 2023, during which time he focused on municipal administration. In 2023, he was elected as the Governor of Oita Prefecture, where he continues to serve as an independent politician.
