Daisuke Tenbata is a Japanese politician and researcher who serves as a member of the House of Councillors. After suffering a severe medical injury at age 14 that resulted in multiple disabilities, including quadriplegia and speech impairment, he developed a unique communication method known as the 'A-Ka-Sa-Ta-Na' method. He earned a Ph.D. from Ritsumeikan University and is a specialist in disability studies and social welfare. Elected in 2022 as a candidate for Reiwa Shinsengumi, he advocates for the rights of people with severe disabilities and promotes inclusive social systems, drawing on his own experiences as a researcher and activist.
