東田淳平

Junpei Higashida is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, he spent his early childhood in New York. He graduated from Kobe University and completed the PLD program at Harvard Business School. Prior to his political career, he worked at Mitsubishi Corporation for 17 years, focusing on energy, metal resources, and infrastructure, including six years of overseas assignments in Germany and Singapore. After serving as the LDP branch chief for Osaka's 9th district, he was elected to the House of Representatives in 2026 via the Kinki proportional representation block.
