Hilary Cass is a British paediatrician and a crossbench life peer in the House of Lords. A former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, she has dedicated her career to neurodisability, palliative care, and the development of medical policy. She is widely recognized for leading the independent Cass Review into gender identity services for children and young people in England, which concluded in 2024. Throughout her career, she has held significant roles at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Evelina Hospital, and she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2015 for her services to child health.
