草地博昭

Hiroaki Kusachi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Iwata, Shizuoka Prefecture. Born in 1981, he began his career at Central Japan Railway Company before working for the Iwata City Sports Association. He served two terms as a member of the Iwata City Council starting in 2013. Elected as mayor in 2021 and re-elected in 2025, he has focused his administration on local educational reform, notably securing the establishment of a new special needs school in Iwata to better serve the local community.
