Hiroshi Hiraguchi is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Hiroshima in 1948, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and began his career in the Ministry of Construction. After holding various administrative positions, including head of the Akita Prefectural Police, he entered national politics and has been elected to the House of Representatives seven times. He has served in several government roles, including Minister of Justice, State Minister of Justice, and State Minister of the Environment. Politically, he supports constitutional reform and the legalization of same-sex marriage, while advocating for the reduction of the civil service workforce to improve fiscal efficiency.
