Hiroshi Kajiyama is a veteran Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the 10th term. Born in Hitachiota, Ibaraki, he is the son of the late prominent politician Seiroku Kajiyama. After working for the Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Development Corporation and managing a private company, he entered politics in 2000. Throughout his career, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Minister of State for Regulatory Reform. He is known for his conservative policy stances, including support for constitutional amendment and the necessity of nuclear power, while opposing selective separate surnames for married couples. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of the Diet Affairs Committee for the Liberal Democratic Party.
