岩田浩岳

Hirotaka Iwata is a Japanese politician and former television announcer currently serving as a member of the Shimane Prefectural Assembly. Born in Tottori Prefecture, he graduated from the Faculty of Education at Kochi University before beginning a career in broadcasting at San-in Chuo Television, where he worked as a reporter and news anchor. He entered politics in 2010 and was first elected to the Shimane Prefectural Assembly in 2011. He currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Democratic Party for the People's Shimane Prefectural Federation and has been re-elected to his assembly seat four times. Iwata is known for his policy support of selective separate surname systems for married couples and his focus on regional revitalization.
