Hiroyuki Tanauchi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kosai City in Shizuoka Prefecture. Born in 1977 in Nakano, Tokyo, he later moved to Kosai. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Rikkyo University in 2000, he worked for Enshu Railway until 2009. He began his political career in 2011 when he was elected to the Shizuoka Prefectural Assembly, where he served four terms and held leadership roles including secretary-general of the Fuji no Kuni Prefectural Citizens' Club. In December 2024, he assumed office as Mayor of Kosai after winning an uncontested election.
