檜垣 尚子

Hisako Higaki is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly, representing the Chuo-ku district of Sapporo. First elected in 2019, she has focused on addressing regional challenges in Hokkaido, including economic development, education, and social welfare. Prior to her political career, she worked as a secretary to professors at Hokkaido University and as a medical clerk. She is affiliated with the Liberal Democratic Party and has held various leadership roles within the party's prefectural assembly caucus, including serving as a director on the Construction Standing Committee.
