Hoang Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American politician serving as a member of the Utah House of Representatives for the 23rd district. Born in Vietnam, she earned a Bachelor of Science in gender studies from the University of Utah in 2006 and an MBA from Stevens–Henager College in 2009. Before entering politics, she worked in the investment and wellness sectors. In 2024, she made history as the first Vietnamese American elected to the Utah legislature, assuming office on January 1, 2025, after winning the general election with 71 percent of the vote.
