Noriko Horiuchi is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives, currently in her sixth term. A member of the Liberal Democratic Party, she has held several high-profile government positions, including Minister for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, Minister in charge of Vaccination Promotion, and State Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications. Before entering national politics, she served as the director of the Fujiyama Museum. Horiuchi is known for her advocacy on social welfare issues, notably leading the campaign to designate Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease as a specified intractable disease.
