Nobuhisa Ito is a Japanese politician and reconstructive surgeon currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Nippon Ishin no Kai party. Born in Kobe, he graduated from Kobe University's School of Medicine and later earned a graduate degree from Osaka City University. Before entering politics, he practiced medicine in various fields, including reconstructive surgery and neurosurgery, and gained public recognition as a television medical commentator. Ito entered politics through the Ishin Seiji Juku and was first elected to the Diet in 2012. His political platform includes support for constitutional reform, the exercise of the right to collective self-defense, and the restart of nuclear power plants that meet new safety standards. He has faced controversy regarding his past involvement with a multi-level marketing company, for which he received a formal reprimand from his party.
