Howard Penny Jr.

Howard Lassiter Penny Jr. is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing the 53rd district which includes Harnett County. He assumed office on September 17, 2020. Before his tenure in the state legislature, Penny was a businessman in the agriculture industry and served as a member of the Harnett County Commission. During his legislative service, he has held committee assignments including Appropriations, Agriculture, and Wildlife Resources.
