Ian Amatong is a Filipino politician and publisher who has served as the representative for Zamboanga del Norte's third legislative district since 2022. Born Adrian Michael Alto Amatong in 1978, he previously worked as the publisher and managing editor of the Mindanao Observer and served as a trustee for the Philippine Press Institute. Before his election to the House of Representatives, he gained political experience serving as chief-of-staff to his father, former representative Isagani Amatong, following unsuccessful bids for vice governor and a provincial board seat in 2007.
