Igli Cara is an Albanian politician who served as a Member of the Parliament of Albania, representing the Democratic Party. Born in Durrës, he holds a degree in biochemistry from the University of Tirana. Before his parliamentary career, he worked as a teacher, a financial police officer, and in the private customs sector. A long-time member of the Democratic Party, he has held various leadership roles, including Chairman of the party's Durrës branch and member of the Durrës City Council. In 2022, he was selected as the Democratic Party's candidate for Mayor of Durrës.
