Герасименко, Игорь Леонидович

Ihor Herasymenko is a Ukrainian politician and former military officer who currently serves as a People's Deputy of Ukraine. A decorated paratrooper and colonel in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine in 2015 for his leadership during the war in Donbas, including the liberation of Sloviansk and the defense of the Karachun mountain. Following his military service, he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in 2019 and serves on the Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence.
