Ileana Garcia

Ileana Garcia is an American politician serving as a member of the Florida State Senate. Of Cuban descent and raised in Florida, she previously worked in television and radio before serving as the first Hispanic female Deputy Press Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security during the Trump administration. A Republican, Garcia has focused her legislative efforts on healthcare, child welfare, and public safety, including initiatives for epilepsy awareness, nursing home patient rights, and environmental protection for Biscayne Bay. She has held various leadership roles within the Florida Senate, including committee chairmanships.
