Ilir Xhakolli is an Albanian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Pogradec. A member of the Socialist Party, he has focused his administration on local infrastructure development, the promotion of tourism, and the renovation of the city's historic districts. Throughout his tenure, he has collaborated with international partners on projects such as the construction of new fire protection facilities and the hosting of major sporting events on Lake Ohrid. Prior to his political career, he served as a customs officer at the Kapshtica border crossing.
