Кива, Илья Владимирович

Illia Kyva was a Ukrainian politician and former People's Deputy of Ukraine. Born in Poltava, he held various positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including head of the Department for Combating Drug Crime. In 2019, he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada as a member of the pro-Russian Opposition Platform — For Life party. Known for his radical rhetoric and support for Russian policies, he fled Ukraine in early 2022. He was subsequently stripped of his parliamentary mandate, convicted in absentia for high treason, and assassinated in the Moscow region in December 2023.
