Шуфрич Нестор Иванович

Nestor Shufrych is a Ukrainian politician and former government minister who has served as a People's Deputy of Ukraine across multiple convocations. A graduate of Uzhhorod University with a degree in history and a candidate of economic sciences, he began his career in business before entering politics in the late 1990s. He previously served as the Minister of Emergencies of Ukraine and as a deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. Shufrych has been a prominent figure in several political parties, including the Social Democratic Party of Ukraine (united) and the Party of Regions. In recent years, he has faced significant legal challenges, including accusations of high treason and the financing of Russian security forces, leading to prolonged periods of detention and house arrest.
