Inácio Arruda is a Brazilian politician currently serving as a substitute Member of the Chamber of Deputies for the state of Ceará. A long-time member of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB), he has held various elected offices throughout his career, including city councilor of Fortaleza, state deputy, and federal deputy. In 2006, he made history as the first communist senator elected in Brazil since 1946. Beyond his legislative work, he has served as a Secretary of Science and Technology and remains active in public service and social development initiatives.
