Inese Lībiņa-Egnere is a Latvian politician and legal scholar who has served as the Minister of Justice of Latvia since December 2022. A member of the Unity party, she previously held significant parliamentary roles, including Deputy Speaker of the Saeima and Chairperson of the National Security Committee. Before entering politics, she worked as a legal advisor to President Valdis Zatlers and as an assistant professor at the University of Latvia. She has also been active internationally as the head of the Latvian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
