Ingrid Leary

Ingrid Leary is a New Zealand politician who has served as a Member of the House of Representatives for the Labour Party since 2020, representing the Taieri electorate. Before entering Parliament, she had a diverse career as a lawyer, university lecturer, broadcaster, and director of the British Council New Zealand. In her parliamentary role, she has focused on issues including mental health, seniors' welfare, and the protection of journalistic sources. She currently serves as a spokesperson in the Shadow Cabinet.
