Ingrida Šimonytė

Ingrida Šimonytė is a Lithuanian politician, public servant, and economist who served as the 17th Prime Minister of Lithuania from 2020 to 2024. She has been a Member of the Seimas representing the Antakalnis constituency since 2016 and previously served as Minister of Finance from 2009 to 2012 during the second Kubilius cabinet, where she implemented major fiscal austerity measures following the Great Recession. A prominent member of the Homeland Union, she was also a presidential candidate in both the 2019 and 2024 elections, advancing to the second round on both occasions.
