Iris Firmenich

Iris Firmenich is a German politician and a member of the Landtag of Saxony, representing the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Born in 1961 in Burgstädt, she began her career as a zootechnician and agricultural economist before entering politics. She has served as a member of the Saxon state parliament since 1999, where she has held various leadership roles, including deputy chair of the CDU parliamentary group and committee memberships focused on social affairs, health, and education. Beyond her legislative work, she has been active in local government and served as the state chair of the Saxon Landfrauenverband.
