André Wendt

André Wendt is a German politician and professional soldier who has served as a member of the Landtag of Saxony since 2014. Since 2019, he has held the position of Second Vice President of the Landtag. A member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, Wendt previously served on the Blasewitz district council in Dresden. His political career has been marked by his focus on social policy, including advocacy for the 'Landarztquote' (rural doctor quota) and debates surrounding migration and asylum policy. Before entering politics, he served in the Bundeswehr, participating in international missions in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Afghanistan.
