Jan-Oliver Zwerg is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Saxony, representing the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Born in 1965 in Cottbus, he worked as a mechanic and later as an entrepreneur before entering politics. Zwerg joined the AfD in 2013 and served as the party's General Secretary for Saxony from 2018. He was first elected to the state parliament in 2019 and currently serves as the parliamentary manager for the AfD faction. He is known for his alignment with the party's right-wing 'Flügel' faction and has previously advocated for the use of firearms in border security.
