Isabel Alves Moreira

Isabel Alves Moreira is a Portuguese politician and jurist who has served as a member of the Assembly of the Republic since 2011. A member of the Socialist Party, she is widely recognized for her advocacy on human rights, particularly regarding LGBT rights, same-sex marriage, and anti-discrimination legislation. Before her political career, she worked as a lecturer in constitutional and public international law at the University of Lisbon and provided legal consultancy. She is also an author and frequent political commentator.
