Ishraque Hossain

Ishraque Hossain is a Bangladeshi politician, engineer, and member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party serving as a Member of the Jatiya Sangsad for the Dhaka-6 constituency and as State Minister of Liberation War Affairs. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Hertfordshire in England, earning both undergraduate and master's degrees, and later worked in the motor industry and as managing director of Banglavision. In local politics, he contested the Dhaka South City Corporation mayoral election in 2020 and was subsequently declared the rightful mayor by a Dhaka court in 2025.
