Ivan Posey

Ivan Posey is an American politician serving as a member of the Wyoming House of Representatives for the 33rd district. A member of the Democratic Party and a resident of the Wind River Reservation, he made history as the only Indigenous member of the 68th Wyoming Legislature. Prior to his election in 2024, where he defeated incumbent Republican Sarah Penn, Posey worked as the Tribal Education Coordinator at Central Wyoming College. He is dedicated to representing his community and advocating for the interests of Native American populations within the state legislature.
