Jaime Williams

Jaime Williams is an American politician serving as the Assembly member for the 59th district of the New York State Assembly. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, she immigrated to New York City in 1999 and later earned a master's degree in social work from Fordham University. Before her election, she worked in community services and served as Chief of Staff to Assemblywoman Roxanne Persaud. Since taking office in 2016, Williams has maintained a moderate political profile, occasionally breaking with her party on issues such as redistricting, urban development, and immigration policy.
