Jake Sawatzky is a Canadian politician who was elected as the Member of Parliament for New Westminster—Burnaby—Maillardville in the 2025 federal election. Born in 2000 in Surrey, British Columbia, he is one of the first four Canadian MPs born in the 21st century. Sawatzky holds a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and was pursuing a master's degree in counselling psychology at Trinity Western University at the time of his election. Beyond his political career, he is known for his philanthropic work, including serving as the president of Drop the Puck for Mental Health and co-founding the concert booking agency We Outside.
