Jamila Schäfer is a German politician representing the Alliance 90/The Greens. Since the 2021 federal election, she has served as a member of the German Bundestag for the Munich South constituency, notably becoming the only non-CSU member from Bavaria to win a constituency seat. Previously, she served as chair of the Green Youth from 2015 to 2017 and as a deputy chair of her party from 2018 to 2022. Within the Bundestag, she is active on the Budget Committee and the Committee on Foreign Affairs, focusing on international affairs and budgetary oversight of intelligence services. She is widely considered to be part of the left wing of the Green Party.
