Thomas Löser is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Saxony, representing the Alliance 90/The Greens. Born in Dresden in 1972, he studied art history, history, and pedagogy before working as a high school teacher. He began his political career in the Dresden City Council in 2009, where he served as parliamentary group leader. In 2019, he was elected to the Saxon State Parliament as the first direct candidate for the Greens in Dresden, a mandate he successfully defended in 2024 for the Dresden 2 constituency. His political work has focused on urban development and cultural preservation, including advocacy for the Dresden Kulturpalast and the protection of the Dresden Elbe Valley UNESCO World Heritage site.
