Jan Birke

Jan Birke is a Czech politician who has served as the Mayor of Náchod since 2010. A former member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic (2013–2021), he has also held positions as a representative of the Hradec Králové Region. Throughout his career, he has been active in local infrastructure development and regional policy. Originally trained as a mechanical engineer, he previously worked in management and served as the director of the cabinet for the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic. He is currently an independent politician following his departure from the Social Democratic Party (SOCDEM) in 2025.
