Janez Janša

Janez Janša is a Slovenian politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Slovenia since 2026, having previously held the office during three separate terms between 2004 and 2022. A central figure in Slovenian politics since the country's independence, he has led the right-wing Slovenian Democratic Party since 1993. Janša began his career as a dissident and activist during the Yugoslav era, later serving as Minister of Defence during the Slovenian War of Independence.
