Jared Huffman is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for California's 2nd congressional district since 2013. Before his election to Congress, he served in the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2012, where he chaired the Water, Parks & Wildlife Committee. A member of the Democratic Party, Huffman is known for his focus on environmental policy, public interest law, and the separation of church and state. He is a co-chair of the Congressional Freethought Caucus and has been a vocal critic of the Project 2025 policy agenda.
