Jarosław Margielski is a Polish politician, engineer, and academic who has served as the Mayor of Otwock since 2018. Born in 1987, he holds a doctorate in engineering and technical sciences from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). Before his election as mayor, he served as the chairman of the Otwock City Council from 2014 to 2018 and managed the local office of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture. Originally associated with the Law and Justice (PiS) party, he successfully ran for re-election in 2024 as an independent candidate, securing a significant majority of the vote. In 2025, he was appointed as a social advisor to the President of Poland.
