Jason Monks is an American politician serving as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives for District 22. First elected in 2012, he has held various leadership roles within the chamber, including serving as assistant majority leader from 2019 to 2022 before being selected as the House majority leader in February 2024. Prior to his legislative career, he ran for mayor of Meridian, Idaho, in 2010. Monks is a graduate of Brigham Young University and has consistently represented the Republican Party in the Idaho legislature.
