Jason Pizzo is an American attorney and politician currently serving as a member of the Florida Senate, representing parts of coastal Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. Born in New Jersey, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami and previously worked as an assistant state attorney. First elected to the state legislature in 2018, Pizzo served as the Senate Democratic leader from 2024 to 2025. In April 2025, he left the Democratic Party to register as an independent and has expressed interest in running for governor of Florida in 2026.
