Jasvantsinh Parmar

Jasvantsinh Salamsinh Parmar is an Indian politician and former surgeon currently serving as a member of the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat, having assumed office in 2024. Born in 1977 in Godhra, he holds MBBS and MS degrees in General Surgery from BJ Medical College, Gujarat University. Before his current parliamentary role, Parmar practiced as a surgeon and was a long-time member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Although he briefly ran as an independent candidate in the 2017 Assembly elections, he returned to the BJP in 2022 and was subsequently elected unopposed to the Upper House of the Indian Parliament.
