Jay Leftwich

James Asbury Leftwich Jr., known as Jay Leftwich, is an American politician serving as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. First elected to represent the 78th district in 2013, he currently represents the 90th district. Before his tenure in the state legislature, Leftwich served on the Chesapeake School Board. Within the House of Delegates, he has held significant committee assignments, including the Courts of Justice and General Laws committees, and was appointed chair of the General Laws Committee in 2022.
