Jay Richardson

Jay Richardson is an American politician serving as a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives for the 78th district, a position he has held since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he has focused his legislative efforts on advocating for increased funding for highways and pre-kindergarten education, while opposing certain tax cut proposals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he co-sponsored legislation to establish a statewide Rainy Day Fund. Richardson was elected to his seat in 2018 and has consistently run unopposed in subsequent general elections.
