Jean-François Longeot is a French politician serving as a member of the French Senate representing the Doubs department. First elected to the Senate in 2014, he has held the position of president of the Committee on Regional Planning and Sustainable Development since 2020. Prior to his national legislative career, he served as the mayor of Ornans from 1995 to 2015 and as a general councillor for the canton of Ornans. Throughout his career, he has been associated with various center-right political movements and joined the Horizons party in 2024.
