Jean Leonetti is a French politician and cardiologist who has served as the Mayor of Antibes since 1995. A prominent figure in French politics, he served as a member of the National Assembly for the 7th constituency of Alpes-Maritimes between 1997 and 2017 and held the position of Minister of European Affairs from 2011 to 2012. He is widely recognized for authoring the 2005 'Leonetti Law,' which established legal rights for patients at the end of life.
