Jehyson Guzmán is a Venezuelan politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly and as the president of the Permanent Commission for Education, Health, Science, Technology, and Innovation. He previously served as the Governor of Mérida state from 2021 to 2025 and held the position of Minister of University Education between 2014 and 2017. A former student leader at the University of Los Andes, Guzmán has been a prominent figure within the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, having also served as a member of the National Constituent Assembly and as a state protector for Mérida.
